Growing up, whenever I drank a soda, or juice from a can, the first thing I would do was look at the top to see how dirty it was. If I saw it wasn't clean, I would fold up a napkin, or use my shirt and wipe out the groove on top of the can, but it didn't always get all of the dirt. I've been doing that for many years and never thought about it until I saw a couple at a diner folding up a napkin to clean the tops of their soda cans. It hit me right then, that you could make an inexpensive and small tool to help assist in cleaning the can.

When I returned home, I played with some of the children's play dough and a can of soda. I formed it to the can and came up with the first version of the can cleaner. This configuration allows one to swipe the can with a cloth or tissue and cleans all areas on the can that your mouth comes in contact with. The groove on top of the can, the side where your bottom lip touches and even the pop-top which is pushed into the beverage are now wiped clean. An easy swipe and you have a clean beverage. The Groovy Clean can also be used to open the can. The long portion that cleans the side of the can is placed under the pop-top and lifted. Your beverage is now ready to enjoy.
